About Jacqui DeFranca

I value honesty, communication, and care, and I bring a love of people and spaces to everything I do.  A lifelong dancer and performer, I’ve always been drawn to movement, creativity, and meaningful connection. In addition to performing, I co-own Sweetcream Dairy, a small-batch ice cream shop my husband and I opened in Biddeford in 2016. Our shop is built around supporting local Maine farmers and we’re continually inspired by the dedication and creativity of the farming community. Running a small business has strengthened my skills in leadership, communication, and problem-solving, and has deepened my appreciation for the impact local businesses can have on a city’s growth.

Owning the mixed-use building that houses our shop has also given me hands-on experience with property ownership and management, offering valuable insight into the needs of both commercial tenants and residential spaces in downtown Biddeford.

Outside of work, you’ll find me with my husband, our son, and our two cats, dancing, or exploring the natural beauty of Maine.
